God bless Fletcher Horn. He provided the perfect materials for my kitchen remodel. His prices were more reasonable than other sources nearby. I toured his facilities and he directed me to exactly what I needed. If I ever need more “barn wood” I’ll definitely go straight to him. He’s very knowledgeable about his product.

Fletcher sourced about 1500 sf of wide random width (4 - 10") antique pecky cypress for installation on walls of a study. It took some time to find, but what he found was beautiful and many boards were 10' + in length, which made the application on the walls seamless. Even my wood finishers (who see lots of high end wood applications every day) were very impressed with what he found. I couldn't be happier with the result.

We received exactly what we wanted and at a great price. We really enjoyed working with Fletcher Horn and appreciated his promptness in getting what we needed.

We hired Fletcher Horn of Antique Building Materials to make us a kitchen table this past Fall. Fletcher exceeded all of our expectations in his performance, Customer Service, creative design and care for what mattered most to us as a family. We would highly recommend Fletcher Horn of Antique Building Materials to our friends and family and we plan to use him again.

Mr. Horn worked with my contractor to provide beautiful reclaimed wood for my new sunroom. A beam was wrapped and we also surfaced the wall to the existing house. Beautiful materials as well as the history of where it was in its previous life.

Mr. Horn was one of the nicest men that I have ever met. He is very knowledgeable about his inventory. We purchased quite a lot of items from him. We purchased beams from 1780 that are gorgeous! We are very pleased!! We will be back soon.

By far, the worst experience I’ve had when dealing with any professional. As of the day of this review, it has been over 6 months since I paid Mr. Horn in excess of $17,000 for antique beams. When I placed the order last November, he wanted 100% of the money upfront in order to secure the beams. When the beams were actually delivered, he shorted me $5000 worth of beams. He later admitted doing this, and that he would deliver the remainder of the beams in two weeks. Over the course of the next two weeks, as well as the next 6 months, I was over promised, been given excuse after excuse, with still not one indication I will ever receive the materials I originally ordered and paid for. We have set deadlines, which he has failed to meet. I would call him, email him, and text him multiple times with no response, and when he finally did respond, I was given multiple personal excuses as well as more promises to deliver. I have given him every benefit of the doubt, but am left with nothing in return.

Having an antique bar built by Fletcher was quite the stressful journey. After ordering the countertop and giving him a 50% deposit and we did not here from him for over a month ..he would not return phone calls. We actually thought we would never hear from him again. After consulting with a lawyer we finally got a phone call back. He delivered the product 45 days after our deadline for completion. He would txt that he was on his way with the countertop and never show up..4 times! He finally showed up with counter, it was a beautiful piece of wood. Unfortunately, he forgot his drill...I went to hardware store and bought him a drill. He then had not cut the bar to template and it was too long. He decided to cut it shorter in the house and cut it too short..he promised to make it right but never did. And to top it off he took our drill with him and never sent it back. Just a bad bad experience. The wood is gorgeous, unfortunately, the workmanship and professionalism is not....:(

Update July 2015: Fletcher asked me to pull my bad review off Houzz 5 months ago and he "promised" to get us a replacement countertop within 2 weeks. He makes up excuse after excuse of why the job hasn't been executed. This is the most unprofessional experience I have ever dealt with. Original review January 2015: Terrible product that doesn't hold up. I asked for a new countertop to replace the old one that had cracked down the middle--he promised he would have it done and then nothing. I have been asking for an entire year. I would not recommend his products at all. I know numerous designers he has consulted with, that feel the same way. I have pictures to prove his poor workmanship.

Fletcher created a kitchen island for our new home made from antique white oak. This element is the focal point of our kitchen and could not have turned out better! We spend the majority of our time at home around this island and it lends a tremendous amount of warmth and character. Both our builder and interior designer were very skeptical of using this material as the main island (with sink) in the kitchen, but both have been impressed with the final product. Thanks Fletcher!

Right from the very start we could tell that Fletcher (ABM, Inc) had a passion for what he did and would go out of his way to do a great job for us. Well, we were not disappointed! The beautiful, wood island top that he made for us is the star of our kitchen! It gives our newly built home the character and history that we so wanted and needed. Without question, we would recommend ABM, Inc to anyone who wants excellent and honest work! Thank you, Fletcher!
