Seating Innovations is the industry leader in suspended seating. Our snack bar, desk and table seating systems transform a conventional kitchen into a well-organized, distinctive, integrated center of the home. Suspended seating solves the problems of moving snack bar chairs back into their place after guests leave, rearranging chairs for cleaning access and avoiding chairs that tip over or those that are dragged across the floor.
The first suspended seating system was designed, patented and built in 1956, by Carling Allen. His wife was tired of the nuisance of chair legs and asked Carling to figure out a way to eliminate them. He eagerly took on the challenge creating a prototype that featured only 4 legs instead of the common 36 legs to support the table and the chairs. His product has been used in homes, cabins, schools, libraries, motorhomes, houseboats, and restaurants ever since.
