5/8" Melamine kitchen cabinets
We are refacing are kitchen and I want to add a couple of cabinets. The existing cabinets are 91" tall by 24" deep made from white melamine with holes drilled every 1 1/4" on the insides. Does any one know of a source for the boards. It is simple box construction so I don't need a cabinet maker. I want to stay with the melamine because that is what all of the rest are made of.

eagledzines You may be able to get melamine shelves at home depot. They may even cut them to fit for you.

If you are looking for the materials to make the cabinets yourself, a cabinet maker could order full 4x8 sheets for you and may just cut and drill the holes for you to put together. As far as I know, the sheets don't come with holes drilled already. You will also needs shelf supports. If you get shelf supports that sit under the boards, cut the shelves 3/16" less than the width of the cabinet.
