Engineered or Harwood Floor for Wide Planks?
Hi, We live in the Bay Area where temperatures are somewhat mild. We are considering going with 5-6-or 7" wide white oak plank hardwood floor. We heard that the wider we go, the more chance there is for "cupping" unless, we just go with an engineered wood which is more stable. The engineered wood has a smaller wear layer than the solid hardwood. Not sure what to do. Thanks for you input.
