How far can a deck built this way extend from the house?
I'm looking to build a deck with those kind of supports and wish to know how far out I can extend the deck. It stands 30 feet off the ground and I'd like it to go 16 feet out from the house. Thanks!

Cynthia Taylor-Luce I think you'd need to have more supports if you went out that far from the house. Regardless, I think you need to speak to the contractor who would be building this. Most jurisdictions would require a permit and drawings for a project like this.
