Design Freedom, inc. agree with Emily - we'd like photos, but more importantly we want to know how you envision your living room - is this used everyday by everybody, or a place to relax every night, or just used formally for guests, or what? romantic or kid-friendly? do you get the sunset or have a great view?
also, have you tried searching for a "seasonal color analysis" article? although developed for women's fashion (are you a Spring or a Summer?), it might help you at home, too.
Elise Be bold! Don't be afraid to bring in color. Your pillow on the 3rd chair looks like orange or rust color. That's a great starting point. Turquoise and black would sharpen the contrast. Go to Pottery Barn and look at some of the pillow covers with zippers, you can use your other pillows to stuff insided new covers. Patterns will work together if they have the same colors.
Luckily, you have one focal point - the tv. Looks like your room is long? Get a big patterned rug you like to put under the coffee table and anchor the seating arrangement. Turn the coffee table parallel to the tv, pulling the sofa parallel to both directly opposite the tv. The other two chairs can face each other across the coffee table.
You have alot of light coming into the room. Add light-blocking drapes for another layer of darkening if needed. Otherwise they provide some color. Pull a color out of a piece of art work or the future printed rug to paint the room with. Since you have alot of beiges, thing about contrast and pops of color.
I like your lamps. You have a third chair that can sit behind the sofa at a game table and another chair can be pulled up with it. That way people at the table have the ability to see the tv also.
