What colors would you suggest and need a different type of design or art.
This is put main sitting room and it needs a paint job. Ready for a different color. The room doesn't have much natural light.

Dytecture Hi, you have a nice overall design for the room, but it feels a bit busy especially with the TV wall. Perhaps adding an accent wall along the dining room area and having a more defined entry (if this is the main access to the house) would help take this room to the next level.

Natalie Hi---Paint both far walls (TV and Dining) with SW 2864 Stratford Blue---other walls SW 6478 Watery... If Stratford is too dark for you then look at SW 6493 Ebbtide... Your room is nice, you have a nice layout and pieces, just looks very gloomy and heavy. The blue colors will really do a lot for this space. Good Luck!

julesa60 I am thinking of placing the tv over the fireplace, thoughts and what color would you paint the brick. I would like to modernize the brick fireplace, suggestions how?

Natalie Yes, if you can move the TV from where it is now to above the FP it would be much better for viewing... As for modernizing your FP, you can tile right over the brick. Here's a link how to do it. http://www.thisoldhouse.com/toh/asktoh/question/0,,20065453,00.html
