marissalegg Thank you so much! We are very pleased with the outcome. Who would have thought drop cloths could be so chic!

marissalegg I would have to say that total project time was about 3-4 days. I kinda spread out it out so that it wasn't so overwhelming. I'm so glad that you like it! :-)

marissalegg Thank you! I picked up the comforter set at TJMaxx on clearance for $39! It's Cynthia Rowley but I'm not sure of the collection name.

Marie Hebson's interiorsBYDESIGN Inc. Hi marissalegg, Marie here. Excellent job, very nicely done. I'd make a couple of cool toss cushions and bring those down into the room so the drop cloths make sense in the space.
Otherwise, thanks so much for sharing!

Julie Humphreys Did you make it and if so can you pass on the 'How to' design to us?

Inside Out Staging and Design Love this! I have done this without the tufts. Have plywood cut to size/shape you desire. Rectangle is simplest. In a nutshell, all you do is glue batting to front, wrap your chosen fabric around as is you were wrapping a present and staple in back. You will be able to find dimensions for wood, fabric quantities online depending on your bed size.

vrpll May I ask - how does it get attached to the bed? Or is it attached to the wall?
Inside Out Staging and Design It is attached at the base of the frame. If you look at the frame you will see several holes for a headboard attachment.
You can attach it to the wall but only if you never intend to move it :)!

marissalegg I attached it to the wall since I only have one wall in my room that can work with a headboard. If you would like you can check out the process at http://frugaltofab.blogspot.com/2012/09/tufting-fit-for-king.html

ozana The headboard looks so professional!! I like it a lot and the tufts look amazing!! I bet it gives your back great joys!!:)) I also did a headboard for my girls' bedroom, I just wanted to ask , first you tufted, then you stapled the fabric in place, right?!

marissalegg Thank you so much! We are very pleased with the outcome and it really looks elegant. To answer your question, yes, first I tufted then stapled the fabric to the back of the frame. Please feel free to view my tutorial at http://frugaltofab.blogspot.com/2012/09/tufting-fit-for-king.html.
