when it comes to siding, do you insulate the same way as using any other product? Live on Long Island (NY) and it can get pretty cold in the winter. How does it hold up in the winter? Does is get pitted or rusted? Is it easy to replace? Even with insulation, will it keep our home cold n the winter?

Yes you do insulate similar to how you would with any other siding. You should work with a local professional on standard procedures, but we generally insulate on the OUTSIDE of the rigid insulation board which is outside the building moisture and air barrier (and vapor barrier depending on climate). Your local experts will give you the best recommendations, but the siding shown in these images is only the outermost shell.
