Bathroom vanity alternative
I need some sort of rack or standalone storage cabinet to put in between the sinks in my bathroom. As you can see from the picture I have nowhere to put my toiletries. Any suggestions? Maybe something that I could place items on top of and that also has some storage for towels, soap, etc.

Judy M check out Pottery Barn web site. They have several in different styles ( wood, metal etc) that would fit between the two sinks.

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design Ikea offers the one shown below and other companies also offer similar items. You can check with your local plumbing supplier to see what might work best in your bath. Be sure to take measurements with you.

camillealbert I think something that is not too tall would look good. Restoration Hardware might have some also.

Deborah Butler, Brickwood Builders Restoration Hardware has some nice pieces that would work well with the pedestal sinks that you have.

quartus Thanks for those suggestions. Having a surface to place items on top of is as important as the storage itself. I will check out some of the Etagere and bathroom cabinets from Pottery Barn, they look like they might work well.

selenavaz You can choose some contemporary looking compact vanity.

olldbobbi I was thinking short storage, as opposed to tall. You can fit a lot of towels and tp in an attractive trunk without blocking any of the mirror or the pretty tile:

tsudhonimh Don't limit yourself to "bathroom" furniture.

A small dresser or bookcase could do nicely in that space.

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design If that electrical outlet is concerning you, you can measure carefully and cut a hole out of the back of whatever piece you purchase, allowing you to use the electrical outlet.

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design It would be nice to find a piece with a door.
