Need help - kitchen
need help with the layout of my kitchen. it 3mx9m. Just moved in so starting from scratch. Im looking at the cheapest way to create a "country kitchen". building some units from reclaimed wood.

olldbobbi Add some cabnets under the large window and perhaps more pantries next to the fridge. If possible, move the sink under the wide window and install your dishwasher next to the sink. If you can afford matching appliances, the kitchen would look much better. The extra little space next to the glass uppers, you could hang your cutting boards there using 3M Command hooks, no drilling required.

I would suggest losing the vertical blinds and replacing them with country curtains. www.countrycurtains.com

townlaw Thanx Bobbi, this is something i've been working on, just a very rough idea of what i was thinking to do. Also to take out the wall between the kitchen and diningroom. Tell me what you think

Modern Age Designs, LLC townlaw that does look good. You could keep that deviding wall as the breakfast bar.

ganley I recently saw a "country" style tv/entertainment cabinet converted to an island kitchen bench. All they did was by an appropriately oversized bench top from their local hardware, have a builder construct an elevated platform and fix to the cabinet. The overhang allowed for space for Barr chairs/ stools to have brekky from. Very economical
