Small living room
I have a smaller living room. Is it an absolute no no to paint a smaller space a bold, dark color. I amin love with a deep turquiose color form Benjamin Moore?

Dytecture Consider just having the deep turquiose color on one accent wall so it doesn't overpower the entire room.

carolannr Only if you have lighter furniture colors to balance.

lsullivan712 I would also consider how much light the room gets. If it gets a lot of light, then you could get away with a darker color. If not, try adding the color as accessories instead of a wall color

olldbobbi If your furniture, floor and ceiling are very light, you should be ok. You can also paint only the bottom three feet with the deep turquoise and the top 2/3 white with a white chair rail separating the two.
