Lady's Bathroom - Eggshell or Satin?
I am finishing a bathroom for a mature women who is a relative. I have the colors narrowed down to two - a Heavy Cream or "The Color of the Year" Lemon Sorbet.

She is one of those people who claims she doesn't care and has no preference. LoL. I know this isn't really true and will hear about any issues she has for years to come. In the most passive-agressive way possible. Or being Southern she will throw out some back handed compliments!

My question is what paint finish for the walls would most women actually prefer. I personally never use flat paints in bathrooms people will be showering, brushing teeth etc so my choices are Eggshell or Satin. I have no issue with semi either.

Thanks for the help!

Emily Hurley I tend to use Eggshell because I find it easy to keep tidy with cleaning up the occasional handprint.

chapstick049 Semi gloss in a bathroom is going to be unnecessary. Typically I would recommend pearl, but seeing as she is mature woman, eggshell would likely be fine. Its still pretty easy to clean up. If there is a lot of moisture, stick with pearl :)

Paradise Restored Landscaping & Exterior Design Eggshell for ceiling and satin for walls - or all eggshell - Do appreciate your dialogue regarding a mature woman who is a relative - sounds like quite a character!

Lotus Construction Group For what it is worth.Benjamin Moore makes a flat paint in a line called Aura bath and spa. I have used it both in bathrooms and kitchens and holds up nicely to scrubbing.

larryhinkle @paradise YES! she is. Normally I would have just done eggshell and been done with it. But wanted to see if any of the ladies here had a finish preference. Too add she is also OCD about about cleaning. Like crumbs on the counter mean the entire kitchen is ruined and has to be cleaned top to bottom. Any decision questions turn into a freak out on the dust. LOL. As I type this she is in another room wiping down every item that was in her medicince cabinet. That had no dust inside....

@chapstick... yeah pearl was my gut feeling. This really isnt about durability/clean up but more the "look"/gloss preference.
