building a bedroom

November 4, 2012 in Design Dilemma
We are adding a bedroom within the existing floor plan of our house. The floor plan is very open and allows us to just add a wall, then come back in the room and build the closet. My problem is this: the existing walls are real wood (rough) and the ceiling is vaulted with wood bead board. It has the rustic look I like and I don't want to lose that, but I would also like a little color. What would it look like if I did the new wall in sheetrock, so I can paint and have an accent wall? The back side of this wall will make a game room for us and I am thinking of using reclaimed tin to finish it out. Just need some design suggestions.

A wood 'accent' wall is great in any room to add warmth, even better since the bedroom will be vaulted.
