smldesigns If the rug is large enough and fits under the front legs of all the furniture, that will pull the room together. What I see missing are window treatments - I would vote for natural woven shades or roman shades. I also think you need some lamps -table, floor (maybe). I see a lot of smooth texture or should I say lack of. I know the nubby rug will add depth, but perhaps some pillows on sofas - something that pops and has texture or depth.
Sara Parker Every room needs something that shines, as in catches and reflects light. Could come from lamp bases. I think that is what is really wrong with the room--just the lack of lighting and accessories.
houssaon I love the furniture. I think the walls need to be a light cream. Right now they seem to be too close in color to the sofas. You need some pattern and color. I'd like to see window panels.
greenthumb2 love the lamps choices. great ideas. esp driftwood table because it has an unusual shape. Forgive me, but although the room is super symmetrical and balanced with rectangles, it needs a) color b) curve somewhere. do you use any brights in the room that we cannot see?
yvonne_pinckney The couches Should face each other. Get rid of 1 end table Put a small coffee table between the couches Window treatments are needed Probably cellular shades Or roman shades Move that black furniture in front of window Put track lights over the fireplace Add plants or a tree silk or real
