Need help with my cool kitchen
I've painted by kitchen Behr Graceful Gray and its much cooler than I like I have white cabinets and black counter tops the tiled floor is a taupey color. How do I warm it up as its feeling a bit sterile to me

thanks

olldbobbi Gray, black and white are a beautiful combination. The taupey floor is throwing me off ! I would suggest spicing it up with red, or burnt red like the color of fall. You could do this with accessories, like the container that holds your cooking tools, linens, spice rack (especially a spice rack!), curtains, etc. A color along this line: [houzz=

Kala Construction Inc. As you have already painted your kitchen with graceful Gray, to make it little warmer you can place an area rug beneath the kitchen table. Area rugs do a great job of warming up the floor of a kitchen, especially beneath the kitchen table and seating area. I use a braided rag rug. Also if there is any utility doors close it when not in use.

carol1234 Yes I could see why the flooring would throw you off and maybe taupe isnt the right color but it works as its a beigey greyish kind of ceramic tile I thought of red as I have a beautiful red persian runner but I thought the contrast was too much, I will try again and give it a chance. Thank you

olldbobbi carol, a lot of it depends on the shade of red. A real red, like a Christmas red would make the contrast bright and almost jarring. But a burnt red could be quite beautiful.
