Need help for my graphite sofa
November 22, 2012 in Design Dilemma
just bought a graphite color sofa for my family room, love this calm color, but really stuck when i tried to pick up some cushions for it.
can anyone give me some idea about the cushion color or pattern to bright up/ match this sofa??
thanks in advance

try a pale yellow, light gray, and light aqua or orange...

go here and scroll through. there are amazing prints. anything works with grey. find the pillow forms and density you like before making a purchase. I love to buy covers so I can change my look within 5 minutes! they make all styles and fabrics. If you sew at all, you can make your own pillows and /or covers.

ides are here: http://www.houzz.com/photos/accessories-and-decor/pillows

Enjoy the process. It's so rewarding to find something that speaks to you.

Gray is such a neutral color you could use almost any color to coordinate. Teal (or peacock) blue, turquiose and navy are great. Or try one of these textured pillows: [houzz=

What colour are your walls, other existing furniture, floors. You could go for interest in texture as opposed to a colour.

I would agree with greenthumb2 that anything works with gray except not everything does I would not go very dark with your cushions because you will lose the beauty of the sofa. Not knowing anything about your space or design style I would say go for a light pastel color such as yellow or aqua( not exactly a pastel but I think you get the point). I love you sofa choice by the way I was considering it for one of the rooms in my house!

anything gray with a graphic pattern, IMO. or most colors, really,

if you go with gray, try to get the hue (color, yes gray has color) to be the same, but tonality can be lighter or darker)
