Octavian Ungureanu, Architect Do you have any data about the heights of the spaces?

Octavian Ungureanu, Architect 1st: the Living Room's window should be as large as possible.
2nd: i don't now if it is possible to get extra light from the top of the stairs. If so, go for it! If not, find a solution to do so. It might help a lot.
3. The entrance door is a glass door, right?
4. Check "Coffee with an architect's tips on colors!" He has some a wonderfull white colection!

lapquoc thank you for your feeds :))
liv room height: 3.9m (around)
the rest: 3.5m.
The entrance glass door.

Yes, the stairs wall is by glass (stand from the top of gara, 1st landing area is also gara roof). I was wondering for the nature light as well as "veiw" for the dining table, then told my self that could be fine with light from stairs and straight open view from front to behind.

But, still wondering about the liv room layout, should it be like this or turning around of sofa and TV.?

and 1 big issue: the existing column in the middle, how to deal with it ?

Really need more advises.

Thanks.

Attached is my LivRoom concept (reality without the dark frame door as in the pic)

Custom Home Planning Center I'd consider a pop up TV on dining room side behind the fireplace. If you use a single extension pole you might be able to also rotate it to watch from the kitchen. This unifies the view lines to either end of the living room. In this case I'd go with a simple sofa against the wall moved closer to the fire place w/foot stool and a couple of chairs to frame the window view. A large artwork or tapestry on the wall opposite the sofa.

Custom Home Planning Center If this were new construction I'd put the L sofa on the wall where the fireplace is shown and the TV and fireplace on the wall that backs up the entrance. The TV could use extension and angle technology to allow for a wider view angle to both the living room and dining/kitchen area. This arrangement keeps the view lines clear of the furnishing. The look side against the outside wall ant the short side on the current fireplace wall. You may find a larger sofa with equal legs works better.

Custom Home Planning Center you could also do a hinged book case between your closets for an under stair safe room

Octavian Ungureanu, Architect I don't want to talk about the way to put furniture in the rooms, but if the natural sources of light are:
- the big front window
- the entrance glass door
- the stairs door
& a secondary light source coming from the kitchen
and the space's height is about 4 meters
then
the space should have a proper natural light.
You can use some mirror doors for the closets near the entrance, they should spread the entrance door light trough the rest of the space.
I like the way that the sofa is oriented both towards the fire place and the shelves alongside the separation of the entrance, but I wouldn't make this one as long as in the plan above, but as long as the door is.....
