anytrouble with the marble discoloring?

estellatchappatNovember 28, 2012
I badly want Marble for my new benchtop but have been scared silly cos the sample has marked when I tested coke and lemon on it, is this just cos it was highly polished and should I go for honed or is it just the thing marble does?

Granite Grannies
That is Rainforest Brown, which is a serpentinite. It is often classified as a marble, but functionally it's very much like a granite. Honed or polished is just an aesthetic choice. This stone hold up very well and you shouldn't see any issues (especially because if you somehow did get etching or a stain, the pattern would hide it).
