TanCalGal You don't mention the flooring, window trim or back splash, all surfaces have to be taken into consideration. Did you want suggestions for walls & trim paint? I'd paint the ceiling and trim white and match the cream cabinets for a cream wall. This photo shows cream cabinets, white trim and a light tan wall...but I would have chosen a cream wall to match the cabinets

gafferoo The floors are typical oak floors, backsplash is going to be cremy crackle 3 X6 subway tiles and all my window trim is white. I would like either a beige/brown or the right grey . BM suggestions?

feeny I would bring in some BM chips that pick up some of the colors in your counters, hold them next to the counters to make sure the matches are exact, and then choose one of the background colors in the granite that will have enough contrast with your cabinets without darkening the room too much (unless you want a high contrast and darker walls, in which case go with one of the darker browns in the granite).

Natalie Hi---well if you prefer soft colors like the first pic---it's SW 7015 Repose Gray by Sherwin Williams-very pretty. If you prefer to have your cabinetry be "Center stage" then I suggest a deeper hue such as SW 7045 Intellectual Gray or SW 7031 Mega Greige---second pic... Hope this is hepful... Good Luck!
