How can i put a counter over washer/dryer when connections will be above
I want a continuous counter over my laundry sink and front load washer and dryer. Our code dictates the connection lines must be 42" high which would make them 6" higher than the counter top. Any ideas how to solve this problem?

minemine Could you build a ledge along the back of the counter over the connections in the same countertop material, with a hinged top to access the connections? It would look like a step. If you made it say 6" deep, you could put your soap, fabric softener, etc. in decorative containers and set them on the ledge. It would still give you enough surface area for sorting and folding.

Linda Remember that you'll need access to unhook those lines for repair and cleaning. You can either build a ledge/shelf or notch the back of the countertop or combo of both. I have a ledge at the back of my counter and i find it very handy
