Hi Jeanie,

Thank you for the question. It is an expandable ironing board that is mounted inside the drawer. The expandable frame mounts easily in a vanity drawer between cabinet sides from 14-1/4” to 21” wide. Simply open the drawer until the gravity lock engages, unfold the ironing board and you are ready to iron!

Hope that answers your questions, thank you.

How sturdy is it? I have teenage daughters and I am concerned they may push down too hard and break the drawer.

@mjbonnesen

This system was designed with heavy duty drawer slides and brackets to hold the frame securely in place. We have not had any problems with pushing on the drawer too hard, so your girls should do great with this system.

Thank you!
