Victoria Yakobovich What is the material of the countertop?

Connelly Construction, LLC The countertop and backsplash along the cooktop base is 2cm tumbled travertine paving tiles, same as the floor. What we did is laminate a piece of the same material to make them appear 2" thick. The Island countertop is 3cm limestone-- I think it was portugese-- it is full of fossils and motion!. As a side-note, this island taught me that size matters-- We extended the island to fit a fourth stool, the consequence was that it was about 7 inches longer than our slab so we had to buy an additional slab and have 2 seams! It looks awesome but was a stressful oversight!
