Mixing Polished Chrome and Polished Nickel?
We are in the process of building a house. We already purchased our hardware for the kitchen and baths in a polished chrome. Now we are finding that many of the light fixtures we like are only available in polished nickel, not chrome. Should we go ahead and mix the two, or would it be better to return the cabinet hardware and get nickel? I personally prefer chrome, but just am not finding lighting I like in chrome. Advice?

ETA: Our faucets and shower heads are all chrome and cannot be changed at this point.

beckyg115 I had this same problem and ended up mixing. I notice but no one else seems to. If the two metals are not right next to one another, I think it will be fine.

Khrome Studios I was ridiculously crazy over this in a 4500 square foot home, and finally went for the mix and it turned out great, I am sitting here in my kitchen and see polished waterworks, aged lighting one chrome drop fixture and nickel hardware. I think it adds interest.
