Domiteaux + Baggett Architects, PLLC that is a difficult question to answer. this is a complete custom site built piece. the inside (not seen) portion of the fireplace is a custom made metal hood with flue...and the metal gave the strength to cantilever the hood over the fire. the cream color is actually venetian plaster, so it's hand crafted piece. the hearth is concrete, poured on site. the metal sculptor was made by a local metal fabricator. then we have the tile surround. this was completed several years ago, so i don't have actually cost in front of me....i am going to estimate the cost at somewhere around $15K to $20K when you factor in all the trades involved.
