Need help with furniture layout
We just bought this house and I am having a hard time with the layout. Can somebody help me with furniture placing? I do not think we will put a TV in this room.
Thanks

Aggie Purvinska And last but not least, there is no foyer and coat closet, do you need coat storage?

hdhorton The coat closet is right when you walk into the door, sorry i just didn't add it into the layout. I guess I didn't think it was necessary for this purpose :)

hdhorton This is not my furniture, it was in the house before we bought it.

judyg I suggest repurposing the present closet by removing the door and adding a beautiful chest with a mirror above to give a feeling of an entry way. If your windows go as low as four feet from the floor I would build around and under them providing for a bench and closets. In the 9 x 7 corner place a sectional with a wedge, a round coffee table and one accent chair. On the single 9 foot wall, a beautiful desk, colorful oil painting, upholstered chair and lamps. Keep the pathway into the dining room from the front door clear.

hdhorton Thank you! I really like the idea of a chest and mirror in place of the closet. I will be on the lookout!
