From boring wall to wow!
When we purchased our new home there was 13' of blank wall space. After deciding that I didn't want a huge monstrosity piece of furniture, I went about to designing a wall space. After I finished the design I hired framer, electrician, drywaller and carpenter. I made the mantel, did the tiling and painting myself and this is what I have. A traditional style complete with faux fireplace and bookcases with arches that match the rest of the arches in the house. Wiring is hid behind the walls and electronic equipment is inside the cabinets.

Prime Walls Well done, looks amazing. I like the subtle a-symmetrical details within a very symmetrical design. great contrast in shape and colour, and overall a stunning composition!

dnsanders82 Great job! Love the faux fireplace. I wanted something similar to my house - and tile work - did you do that yourself? where did you get the fireplace?

iluv2decor8 dnsanders82-Thank you! Yes I did do the tile work myself, very easy to do!! If you are talking about the fireplace surround, I purchased the top mantel shelf and then built up the sides and lower portions myself. Here is a pic showing that part of the project that I did.
