" Fire restoration of house; Desperately need help picking paint colors, immediately!"
Most of the interior of my house is being restored due to a fire in aJuly. It is Finally coming together. I chose my kitchen based on photos from Houzz;, Blue and white. Open floor plan now. Most of the cabinets will be De Wils Shaker Alabaster White, with one glass one; a couple on the bottom will be that nice blue (not the darkest one) we see in the photos. The back of them will be blue and seen in the dining room. I love blue and had a blue and beech dining set before the fire, which I will miss. The floors will be 4 inch wide plank wood throughout,' color undetermined as yet. The granite will be Mont Bleu; a white, grey, beige, with some blue. Kitchen is U shaped with cabinets on top and bottom. Backsplash undetermined as yet. Appliances stainless steel. The back of the blue cabinets is the dining room, with sliding doors to the deck. To the left of that is the living room. When you enter my small split, to the left is the living room, in front of you is the entrance hall, leading to the upstairs. then kitchen. I need paint colors and floor stain colors for the workmen, and I am stumped. I love the color blue, and will miss my blue dining room set, and blue leather sofas from before the fire, but am not sure if I can pick the right blue pant colors, or should choose a neutral. My home is small, but is open now. Would really appreciate some help.

creeser You definitely love your blue, so stick with what you love. Could you post some photos? It helps to see how everything is laid out. What type of wood are you using for your floor? If it's a lighter wood, to keep with the beachy colors you have going, have you considered a driftwood (gray) stain?

creeser I also wanted to add, how sorry I am for your fire. I know the loss has to be devastating.

Shawn Lagemann Sherwin Williams has a beautiful grey called Tinsmith SW7657. This would be a nice neutral that will tie in well with your white cabinets and granite and allow the blues to pop. This is a fabulous paint color to hang artwork on. Art seems to fly off this background.

Jo Cook Interior Design It is difficult to provide paint colors with actually seeing the space. Have you thought of hiring a Paint Color Specialist to assist you in this? It would be worth the money spent to have and expert work with you. The kitchen sounds beautiful, have you thought of a multicolor glass mosaic for the backsplash? If you could find one that compliments your granite, with grays, whites and blues, I think that would look gorgeous! Good luck!

cattttttt To Creeser, Yes, I have. But then I wonder what color(s) the dining room set should be.

cattttttt To Jo Cook Interior Design, Yes.. I have thought of that for the backsplash. Not sure if that would be the choice, or something more understated.

creeser You could go with a white set , a farm style table in a weathered gray or a light wood with white chairs. Attaching photos to see what you think.
