Need help with small sitting/guest room in Ecuador
I recently moved into my two story 850 sq ft home not including roof top terrace beach front in Ecuador. Need to acomodate guest for extended stays. The room is very small 12'x8'6", under stairwell space is 43", 9' ceilings. They do not have sofabeds as we know them and will not work. All I can come with so far are two 30" beds to make as daybed sectional. Two chairs for sitting. The throws are examples of what is easily available. I do use this room when it is too winding, but the main living space is on the terrace. Please help with suggestions. Thank you!

decoenthusiaste Have you tried the chairs where the beds are and the beds under the window in an "L" toward the entry? A few colorful pillows leaning against the wall would help make the beds look more sofa-like.

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design I suggest you consider one queen size bed, 60 x 80", up against one wall, with decorative pillows and a throw. Use a small desk with a lamp as a night stand next to the bed. Add one desk chair and one more comfortable chair. Add a 5x8 rug, angled in the room, and artwork.

decoenthusiaste Not bad. Perhaps some chairs with a lighter color and smaller footprint would help.
