phillipsb53 Oh yikes! Thanks so much for the input...Sorry - I never posted a picture of the DOOR%^&*%!! It is already installed and is stainable. Our plan is to stain the wood portions to match the porch and then do the rest in the dark blue. Planning on Sherwin Williams "Naval"
Connie Nikiforoff Designs Well the color you choose will depend on whether or not you want to draw attention to the door ;-) A color that compliments the stone but isn't part of the undertones of the stone, will make it stand out nicely. Or you could go safe and choose a color that's similar to the stone.
The door opens in. What colors will you be using as accent colors in the room it opens into? That's something to think about too. When we moved into our current home, the door was red inside and out. It probably looked great with the other family's accents but looked horrible with ours. When I painted it a custom mixed green, it made the house both inside and out look fabulous.
Remember to add other accent colors to your exterior decorating in whatever color paint you choose. Potted plants and/or flowers that go nicely with the door's color will make it wonderful.
