kpc321 eventually I would like to change the furniture, probably to black couches. And the carpet would be replaced with a lighter carpet, like beige or cream or dark hard wood or laminate flooring. The door way leads to the laundry room but I would like to move it to the other side of the room. And the smaller opening leads to storage under the stairs and is normally closed.

Metro Interiors i would suggest keeping the old couches and redo the uphosltry with a fabric/print of your liking i would suggest a white couch with a grey/whie accent chair
