okdesign101 The color on the walls is great. The curtains are a good choice as well, but I would mount them higher, to make your room seem taller. Also, the layout is working, but, sometime in the future, consider changing your furniture to something with a smaller scale and cleaner lines. L-shaped sofa in warm but light tone with nice clean structure, lower back and deep seats will give you the seating and comfort. And add a rectangular mirror above the bigger sofa part - it will bounce the light around and make the room seem bigger. Good luck in your projects!

Dytecture I agree the darker wall color works in this room. The curtain seems to need a bit more weight and some art / pictures on the wall would help finish the room.
