Metro Interiors storage! add cubbies and have them cut to the shape of the stairs

Carolina Photo To Go LLC I would make a built in cabinet if you need the storage with a door. I even saw a picture one time of a cute little built in dog house. Or, you could just close it up. Have a Merry Christmas!

judyg All great ideas as we all need that little extra cubby. Has anyone seen the staircase where the space has been drywalled, and then each stair riser becomes a drawer? So clever.

Linda I once saw a picture of a staircase library where all of the risers were bookshelves

I have my sewing space under the stairs and in the dead end space under the back of my basement stairs. I have backwards stairs underneath for storage...each level has a shallow shelf out to the back edge of the stringer. It is surprisingly handy which is the reason I don't have a good photo since you can't see them clearly now.
