Need help with what to put behind the sofa.
Thought about either a sofa table with something on it or a plant with up lighting. If we do a plant how tall should it be. Switching the carpet to dark hardwood floors.

decoenthusiaste The blurry picture doesn't help much but I'd suggest an asparagus or maidenhair fern in that cachepot. Would change out the blinds for a woven shade in a tone to match the rug.

champy00 First of all I think the curtains should be pulled the other way on the window on the right.it doesn't look right having them both going the same direction..I like the pic the last person did of your room with the side table, lamp and tree behind the couch..

blindsdirectcanada In agreement for the Window Coverings. I would also consider Silhouette shadings and to frame the corner having 3 panels one covering the uneven wall patch.

MAlps I would put the right curtain the other way, so the two curtains make a big window. Try extending your rod so that the meet in the corner.

drnd Yes, those curtain are driving me crazy. There are some pretty light controlling and privacy type shades which also insulate in place of the blinds. How does this corner relate to the rest of the room? That is a pretty little loveseat ; is it antique? How about putting maybe a round rug under the table to add a little color/interest & then pick up a color from the rug or some where else in the room with pillows or a throw.

carolannr How how about removing the curtains altogether and backing the loveseat with a big parlor palm?

janearrington how about framing the windows with trim for little architectural interest, add woven blinds, small table with heavy lamp behind loveseat. no curtains , maybe some cute plates over windows

janearrington or put plates or small framed prints three down next to window on left in blank spot.
