Need help choosing lamps
I just put up this mirror that I love. It is the Minogue wall mirror and is metal and a brushed gold color. I need help choosing lamps to put on the console table under the mirror. Should I have one or two lamps and should they be tall or on the shorter side? Any suggestions would be helpful. The room is a formal living room with a redish oriental rug and the walls are light tan. Any suggestions would be helpful. thanks!

TanCalGal I like 2 tall, thin buffet lamps in the same finish as the frame (or a finish that blends nicely). From here the console table does not look long enough, though.

MAlps How plan on putting lamps if theres no table?

kristinlyn A console table is behind the couch.

kristinlyn The console table is 44" long. Do you think it is long enough for two lamps? I like the idea of the lamps matching the finish of the mirror.

TanCalGal I can't tell. Can you put 2 candlesticks (or something) there to give us an idea?

TanCalGal This is what the site says: "They were from the Shades of Light catalog, however I don't think they are still available there. They are quite tall -- about 33".

33 inches seems too tall... for your table arrangement.

Elyn's Library Buffet Lamps are available in a huge variety of shapes, sizes, colors and costs.

Try Overstock, Amazon, eBay, Lamps Plus, Lighting Universe, Home Decorators Supply, West Elm, Ballard Designs, Grandin Road, just for starters.

As long as you are providing more photos, it would help to see more of the room. As others mentioned, proportion - size of the sofa vs. size of the console - may influence suggestions.

Bonnie Two lamps is too much for a table only 44" long.
