Need help choosing complementary colors!
I'm having trouble finding bold, modern colors to complement our living room decor and would love input. The walls are Valspar's Winter Flannel. The furniture is brown (shown in photo 1) and there is a large stone fireplace with beige and gray tones in the room (photo 2). The floors are a light beige tile (not shown in the photos). So far, we've been adding neutral touches, but I'd love something bold over the fire place and sprinkled throughout the room. Any ideas?

Interiors International, Inc. I like the colors in the rug and it looks like an art piece that matches it on the wall. The grey/blue is a neat choice.

berekann i also like the colors. For a splash of something more colorful - use tangerine or one of the other orange shades, in toss pillows (maybe striped? or floral? even dots) and in artwork over the fireplace. Colorful bowl on table.Emerald green is the color of the year; could use that instead, but not with the current rug and wall hanging. . . Perhaps they could be put away for a season or so? They are a bit limiting. Unless you use a darker shade of the blue in pillows and as part of artwork over fireplace.
