Fencing ideas
I am in the process of building a modern house. The terrace overlook neighbor property which isn't nice. I am looking for a fencing idea of about 2 meters high, which will not be more than 30 cm wide, still allow ventilation. I would prefer material that doesn't require maintenance because I won't have access from the neighbor side

Cynthia Taylor-Luce What about planting a hedge of very columnar (tall and narrow) trees, ideally ones that will keep their foliage year round? I don't know what climate you're in so can't be more specific, but a living fence might suit your needs. This laurel hedge might inspire you!

amamane Thank you for all the ideas. I am concerned about a wooden fence as i will not have access to my neighbours side therefore treating the wood will be a problem. A lIving fence in the form of a hedge for a height of 2 meters and width of no more than 30cm's is probably going to be hard to achieve. Any other ideas will be most appreciated...
