I am assuming you are asking about the reddish colored tree. Acer Palmatum, probably 'bloodgood' or similar variety. A nice looking Japanese Maple specimen with a good open branching structure.

Looks like a "Fireglow" japanese maple. It can grow 10-12 feet tall.

How do you get the Japanese maple to grow in Canada or is only in Calgary that they do not grow?

I live in Toronto. We have 4 Japanese maples: 2 Trees like here, 1 dwarf (red) & 1 ornamental green. All doing beautifully with little maintenance.
Proper pruning is important
