Kitchen Transformation - from 1958 to 2012
Finally, a kitchen renovation to update our very outdated one. We are very happy it is almost done and we can stop "cooking" in the dining room!

Studio S Squared Architecture, Inc. Interesting layout--you have three doorways into your kitchen?

scarlet127 Thanks! The breakfast area is an extension with a trey ceiling and accent wall in a darker grey. There are actually 4 doors into the kitchen - one from the garage, one to the dining room, one to a hallway and the newest one is a half french door in the extension that leads outside. The colors are a bit off due to the camera- the back splash and floor are more of a blue-grey. The back splash also has bits of rust that pick up the paprika color of the cabinets.

feeny Hah! I recognize that antique round fan over your original stovetop. We had one just like it in the wall over our (ancient) kitchen before renovation. Lovely transformation!

lpmenache We just pulled out our knotty pine kitchen from 1957 in a total remodel. We are eating out and wash the few things we need in the bathroom sink so I know how your feel. Your remodel looks great.

scarlet127 Yes, the bathroom sink got a work out here, too ! I kept a bottle of drain cleaner nearby! If I never hear the word "Helper" with dinner again, that's fine with me!
