Urgent help with kitchen & family room paint
Redecorating...sectional in FR is new..blue sofa & "cornflower" paint on walls going but still want to accent with blue; hubby wants to stay with darker color tan/brownish color (probably Benjamin Moore Great Plains Gold) in FR..I think I want to stay lighter in kitchen - something that will pick up in blue/gray in countertops. Any ideas?

hollybaumgartner Are you looking for paint color suggestions? Not sure what the question is;-)

hollybaumgartner OK, I'm a total idiot - just looked at the title! How about painting the bay window a blue color! Always love an accent color to accentuate any architecture!

decoenthusiaste I prefer solid, unbroken walls as accents, unless the FP calls for an emphasis to draw the eye. Is the bay view in conflict with the FP as the main focal point? If there is nothing extraordinary to see out the bay, then draw the focus to the FP with your blue. Then dot it around the room with pillows, throws, some cornflower cannisters, tea towels. Just a touch everywhere. If that isn't enough, paint it on the dining chairs and that will be the finishing touch!

sbattelle To answer all?? & add other thoughts:
1. Need paint color idea for kitchen. After looking at browns & blue samples for several days decided I love a light & airy kitchen. In FR now is a creamy yellow (like corn silk)..,maybe some variation of that?
2. FR color is going to be Benjamin Moore Great Plains gold.
3. Again..blue sofa is going.
Will add a few more pics.
