Living Room layout
Hi everyone, we just finished painting our living room and are now trying to figure out how to arrange our furniture and looking for suggestions. Your ideas??

tharizzla There's also an ottoman for the couch that's not in the photo and a mirror for above the fireplace

houssaon Hi! What is on the wall with the TV. Is there a door there?

What if you rotated the sectioal so that the main part is under the window? Allow two to three inches from the wall to the sectional. Then you can move your TV to the left of the fireplace or over the fireplace.

You could also have a sofa table behind the short end of the sectional for lamps.

Another option, is to move the fireplace to the far wall of the entrance.

decoenthusiaste That sectional is really eating up your space. Does it come apart? Try your lamp in the dark corner by the sofa and FP. Would you consider moving the TV anywhere else?

tharizzla The sectional does come apart , we had the lamp in the other corner but I think I will move it back. Everything is moveable, I just have to reroute TE cable as its coming from below. The wall with the TV is our entranceway closet. I do like the idea of moving the sofa under the window , may have to try that. I tried moving the fireplace to the wall that the coUch is on but because of the sectional I had to cram it
In the corner by the window and it felt kind of funny

decoenthusiaste Can the TV work on the mantel, maybe tilted downward for a better view? You can get paintable chase to hide any unsightly cords. Agree with trying the sofa in front of the window if the extension doesn't block entry into the room.

tharizzla Ok I'll try these suggestions, curious though where I would put things like DVD player, consoles, etc?

cyn222 Build a unit with doors above your fireplace and leave a space to install tv on wall above fireplace.
