How hard is it - and what is process to re-paint kitchen cabinets?
Hello - In addition to raising the drop ceiling..... Debating having cabinets painted. Tired of the light maple that we put in 12 years ago. Would be hiring someone. As we are preparing to talk to ppl - looking for what works best for process. Pull cabinets out? Take doors off and keep cabinets in place? Does this all depend on how detailed finish? What do I need to know? 2nd pic is our bathroom that was updated a few years ago - those are new cabinets - but similar to what I would like. Thanks in advance. (Would potentially do new counters too - while we were at it)

On the Spot Furniture Revival llc The only time I have pulled cabinets to change the color was when there was water and the resulting damage had to be fixed first. Most if not all, will take the door/drawer fronts to a shop to spray and address the cabinets on site.

wmpj If you're hiring someone to paint your kitchen cabinets, they will not need to remove the entire cabinet. All the items inside the cabinets should be removed. The doors, drawers and hardware will be removed. If they are spraying the cabinets, everything will be taped off. They will probably take the door and drawers to their site to spray them, glaze them and put a top coat on. By the way, I love the finish on your bathroom cabinets. I also have light maple kitchen cabinets and would like to have mine finished like your bathroom cabinets.

cyn222 Take off doors, prime, paint and done. Spray is easiest way, but they can be rolled as well with a very smooth roller.
