Need new Master Bedroom colors
sierssJanuary 6, 2013
I have had these colors in the master bedroom for a while. I need something new and fresh, any ideas?

Have you seen some bedding you'd like? It is easier to find paint and other items to go with the bedding than to start with paint and then try to find bedding. Post pics of what you like for the bed and we'll provide some ideas and choices for you.

Style is also important. Do you know if your want something light or something formal? Once you have decided with the style look for patterns to fit that style. Your bed is very deep and rich in color. Tonal whites would be beautiful... but then again does that fit your style?

I would choose a lighter shade of paint on the walls in a neutral colour, by using a neutral colour on the walls gives you more options with choosing new bedding.

I would also suggest searching for bedding ideas first, and then going from there. It will be easy to find a paint color once you have the bedding/pillows.

I do agree with finding bedding first, however I am a huge fan of grey in the bedroom right now. The right shade of grey can totally transform a room, and many different bedding ideas will float along that line. We have a striped grey and white accent wall where our headboard is and the rest of our room is grey and we can do things with nearly any color (aside from brown) and it works out perfectly!

You all have helped a lot. It sounds like I need to find bedding that I like. I love the ideas of the grey, yellow and a muted turqoise.....however my bathroom has brown in it and not sure you should use grey with brown?
