Help!
Just moved into a new place and have no idea how to decorate around these red cushion bar stools (which I can't get rid of because they are custom made for the bar)

Kathryn Peltier Design Just reupholster them if you don't like them. What is special about them? Are they an off height or something?

amymc16 Can you add picture from other angle ( other side of bar)?

sharly17 I want to see if I can make it work with them. Yes they had to be raised to fit the bar. The stools are almost 6 ft

sharly17 Here is the side angle

claudiann Do they come with seat belts? Lol

claudiann Beautiful room. Is that wall behind them curved? Is this a dining area or tv/great room?

claudiann Maybe dumb question but what is the white space next to the wall on the bar?

Darzy This look would be perfect for your space.

Kathryn Peltier Design Flip the stool over - are there clips with screws? If so, all you need to do is take the cushion off, cut a square of fabric about 2" larger than the width + depth and staple it on. Voila! New seat!

decoenthusiaste A couple of yards of fabric, screwdriver, staple gun and solved!

Darzy Yes, unless you want to work with the red, it is really, really easy to reupholster. I've even done it and I'm not too crafty. : )

sharly17 Haha no seat belts, thank you it is an open dining/living room area. The white thing is actually this big cabinet storage area, it's kind of cool. I like the red accent room, that might work.

sharly17 I'll see what I can do with the red, if not I will give the reupholster thing a go!

gm construction and design As everyone else has stated, reupholstering bar stools is super easy. If you do want to keep them red it would be easy to incorporate splashes of red into your design to pull everything together. You may not realize this, but red goes with everything. You could do the room in all shades of earthy browns (or sunny yellows, or cool blues) with a red throw blanket, a red shiny lamp, some red pillows. Hope this helps. Here is an example I found online.
