Symmetrical design or not?
We are replacing the cabinets/shelves in the living room due to water damage. There is a fireplace in the center (tv will go in it) and about equal space on each side for cabinets/shelves. One side will have a small wet bar (sink and possibly beverage center). Aside from the wet bar, they could be mirror images. I think we should have cabinets on the bottom on each side, then regular shelves on the wet bar side and the shelves on the other side can be a bit more interesting. By interesting, not the same exact shelves – some vertical walls and different sized shelves/boxes. I’ll try to attach a picture of a similar example.
I think the counter on each side will be at the same level and the bottom of the bar side shelves will match a line on the other side to give some continuity.
Thoughts?
