Daughter moved out and I want to redo the room
We are thinking of selling our house and I don't think buyers will like the red walls. I want to keep the antique furniture and carpet. I need help with wall color, drapes and bedding! Help!

sspitler01 I would pull out a cream color that you see in the rug and upholstery- best to go neutral when selling!

sspitler01 Oh, and keep it light- filled...those are nice windows and drapes aren't necessary!

mpoulsom I would paint the walls a gray with a little blue in it...
and I WOULD put two panels on each side of the windows hanging from the ceiling height! You don't have to be able to draw them closed, but it would just look more finished and homey. Just my 2 cents.

Aja Mazin Light gray on the walls

No drapes.

Let the new owners choose their own.

Andrea Prasch Neutrals are always Turnkey. "Grant Beige" by Benjamin Moore or Benjamin Moore "Horizon"

Andrea Prasch Also when you sell I would take everything out of that room except the bed and armoire and do a neutral bedspread with lots of pillows and keep the windows open to show lots of light.

Interiors International, Inc. When selling remove all clutter. Make the house as un- personal as possible. Neutral is good at this time. It is not what you like but what won't offend anyone. You want it to appeal to the broadest market as possible.

susanmitch I agree with gray paint and I would remove the rug. It is too taste specific.

mbryant6 Thank You everyone! I ended up painting the walls Horizon by Benjamin Moore. Sometimes it looks gray and sometimes it has a hint of blue.
