Need help choosing a chair.
Hi everyone,
Presently furnishing a new familyroom and wondering which chair style to chose. Prefer a transitional look. Leather sectional is white. Thanks for all suggestions. Ps. Chair on left will not be staying!

V.I.P. Kitchens, LLC. your rooms looks like your trying to go for a contemp look.. id look for a moder wide and lower to the floor chair for the space maybe ever animal print also that would give a pop of something =) but also keep in mind with the size of your room.. you don't want to disturb the walking path

decoenthusiaste Can't see the style of the sectional but would suggest a pair of swivel chairs to flank the FP/TV. They are versatile and come in many styles - colorful, simple, plush, quirky, traditional, transitional, etc. You'll enjoy how they maximize seating and allow turning to watch TV. Just search the box above under products to see the variety. When you have a minute, check out the Houzz tutorial on how to style your built-in shelves.

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design On a high budget, I'd go for the Egg chair in lime, below. On a lower budget, I find the CB2 chair attractive. With either one I might have to have the rug below, plus some colorful pillows to go with it!

ATGStores.com Hi, Dessert. We agree with Deco regarding increased functionality in a swivel chair, so we filtered our selection of accent chairs to reflect those that swivel (http://www.atgstores.com/swivel-accent-chairs_1014.html?&option0=optionA=318972|17843~Valu). We picked a few we thought you may like and we hope this gives you even more ideas. Good luck with your search!

AMN Are you planning on placing the new chair where the one in the picture is? I'm concerned about space. I can't completely tell from the angle of the photo, but it looks very tight there. Just something to keep in mind, I guess. Love the fireplace stone, btw!

tennisanyone I think I would do two ottomans instead of chairs. I love the stone and shelves and I think two chairs will take away from it.

apollo69 how high is your tv mounted, is it comfortable viewing height
crate and barrel have great small swivel chairs

luckypig51 I agree, Tennisanyone. 2 ottomans would give balance and color without being overwhelming in a tight space. Also dont think blocking the shelves with a high back chair is a very appealing look. Love the blue color that was suggested for this room.

dessert Hi, picture doesn't do the room justice. Its actually 15 x 18 ft. The sofa is placed a little closer to the fireplace for now but there is room to move around. If the chairs are large, one will be sufficient but two do fit. The tv is quite comfortable actually. Almost placed it on ajoining wall but happy with it there. It also tilts forward.

Such great suggestions! Thanks to all!

V.I.P. Kitchens, LLC. Id just open your living area more though and wouldn't put anything with a highback just due to the fireplace area and plus you don't want to block or distract that opening/door area
