How to turn this ugly duckling home exterior into a swan?
I am planning a addition to my house and want to figure out how to transform the exterior look into something beautiful. I like traditional and craftsman styles. The window on the right was originally a one car attached garage. I am thinking of stretching this sideways to be a two car garage. It probably will need a new roof as well so a totally new color scheme is possible. What can I do to fix this dog? Replace the ugly white metal columns?, stone veneer accents? Thanks!

sarapaul04 Add white shutters, and new, bold front porch pillars. Freshen the landscaping with some color and fresh mulch. Replace cement walkway with large stepping stone? Paint chimney white to match new painted shutters.

Interiors International, Inc. You need an architect. They will be able to come in with ideas that you would never think of in a million years. They will also know how far you can go within your proposed budget. If I were you I would interview a couple. You are not going to get the kind of advise you need here. There are many talented people here but you need to ask a pro.
