Have you thought of arranging the frames horizontally and trying different looks that way? It would go better with the long, low look of the bed. You could paint the wall an interesting color that will contrast with the black.

I see you have some pics in an ideabook. That's a great start. Keep exploring and take notes on what you like. Look at each photo and figure out what details make the room beautiful to you. When you get going on the design, remember to include great and appropriate lighting throughout the room. http://www.elledecor.com/home-remodeling/bedroom-lighting-guide-a-50480

We have a platform bed. I think thin layers is the best way to go if you want the clean, tucked look. Big, puffy comforters are not as helpful.

Incorporate different textures and colors to keep things interesting.

Also, beware of oversized bed coverings. I've noticed many companies combining full/queen bedding, which is fine on its own. But, if you want a clean look, and you have a full size bed, putting items that also fit a queen will result in too much material all over the place.

Also, look to companies with more modern designs. You should have better luck with them.

I think you were on the right track with using the screens as a hearboard.

Oo! Just spotted this on Remodelista. Thought of your bedroom. Might be an idea or at least provide some inspiration: http://remodelista.com/posts/5-favorites-textiles-as-headboards
