olldbobbi Are you planning to put the tv over the fireplace? A media room should have comfortable seating, and an easy clean floor. A warm color on the walls would be great. Maybe change the ceiling fan so that it is flush with the ceiling. [houzz=

Jean Tuck Id use a easy clean floor, the wall paints to be similar but freshened up after washing of course, Paint that fan white, keep seating focused towards tv location, Not sure Id put TV over fireplace, considering life of Tv would it be better to place in a cooler area of the rm ? I think this would be conducive to a relaxed environent for watching movies and would be inviting. Area rugs could be used for a punch of color.But not wall to wall carpeting.
